Tragically, every year several hundred thousand healthy cats and dogs are put to sleep in Australia because there are no homes available. Joining the
National Desexing Network (NDN) can generate new clients for you and put an end to this tragic problem.
About the Network
NDN is a non-profit, national referral service for low-cost desexing. For some people, reduced prices are an important incentive to desex their pets. NDN matches people in genuine financial need with veterinarians who will offer desexing at a discounted rate. Applicants can contact NDN on 1 300 368 992 or apply online. These pet owners are then screened by our staff and if approved they are referred to a NDN affiliated veterinarian or program in their area. Applicants are (e)mailed a referral certificate to take to their veterinarian who honours the agreed fee. The discounted service is then paid for by the client at the time of their visit.
Not Reinventing the Wheel
NDN works closely with SPAY/USA, a large desexing network in America. This organisation has been established for more than 14 years. They have facilitated 100,000s of desexing procedures and after establishing their network, euthanasia rates in the US have dropped significantly. To date more than 7000 vets have joined SPAY/USA. For more information about SPAY/USA, please visit their website at www.spayusa.org
Benefits of Joining the Network
- The referral from NDN gives pet owners an opportunity to learn about your practice and gives you the chance to gain them as a permanent client.
- Your participation in the Network demonstrates that you care deeply about ending pet overpopulation. In order to promote your involvement we will send you a certificate of appreciation for display in your clinic. In addition, your clinic's name can be included on our website.
- Very little paperwork is involved and no money is exchanged between you and NDN.
- Joining is free and you have the option to end your participation at any time.
To join the NDN, simply download and fill in the form at the bottom of this page and mail or fax them to us. We hope to welcome you soon as part of the National Desexing Network so in future no healthy pets will need to be euthanased simply because there are not enough homes.
