National Desexing Month 2007
The National Desexing Network (NDN) is hosting its third
National Desexing Month in August with the slogan “
Is your pet a sex offender?" Our aim is that this recurring annual
event will see many cats and dogs desexed thereby getting closer
to our goal of ending pet overpopulation in Australia.
NDN will again invite all animal welfare groups and shelters,
vets and councils to join in and promote desexing during August.
All council pounds will receive our posters (see example at the
bottom of this page) for display as well. NDN also hopes to
attract the general public’s attention and participation through
an extensive media campaign.
In addition, NDN has developed an outstanding community service
announcement to highlight the problem of pet overpopulation. You
can have a look by clicking on the icon on the left side of this
page under
NDN Commercial. This tool is available to anyone who
wants to use it to promote desexing. Anyone with access to free
advertising on TV stations, please contact us so that we can get
this announcement on TV.
