National Desexing Month 2011

During National Desexing Month, vet clinics around Australia are promoting desexing and generously offering special deals to encourage desexing in July, before the spring breeding season. The aim is to help prevent the thousands of unwanted cats and dogs which are killed in pounds and shelters each year.
National Desexing Month specials are offered to everyone in July only.
You do not need a voucher or a pension or concession card for these special offers listed below.

The 2011 National Desexing Month campaign ''Desex your pet in July and everyone’s happy” starts in July and we are excited because a lot of vets have already sent us their participation forms!
Across the nation vets, councils and animal welfare organisations have been invited to participate by encouraging pet owners to desex their pets before they breed to prevent accidental and unwanted litters this spring.
Many of the homeless cats and dogs waiting for homes now were last season’s cute factor kittens and pups so if we can prevent more accidental litters we can help more homeless cats and dogs.
Sadly this year all around the country we are hearing that cat and dog surrenders are up and adoption rates are down, so with fewer homes seemingly available this year it’s even more important to get those animals desexed!
If you want to help NDN make this year’s National Desexing Month the biggest yet please let your local council, vets and animal welfare groups know about the month.
Don’t hesitate to contact us for more info, posters etc.
Thanks for your support!
